Some people love life in a big city. Some people enjoy their life in the mountains. Then there are people like me who have had a lifelong attraction and and love of living near the water, and specifically the ocean. For me it's the warm humid air that of the southern United States that resonates more than anywhere else. Living along the coast of South Carolina has allowed me to find some of the most beautiful subjects on the planet to photograph. From stunning beaches and historical buildings and locations to the overabundance of beautiful birds of every shape and type. This is where my passion for photography really began. From the coastal reaches of the Carolinas, to beaches and marshes of Georgia and Florida this is where I spend my time seeking out new locations and subjects to capture. Who was it that said "If you are lucky enough to have a house by the sea, then you are lucky enough"!
Currently all the images you see posted on the website have been captured with Nikon Camera gear. Most images are shot with the Nikon D500, and the Nikkor 200/500mm lens. For many landscape shots the prefered lens is the Nikkor 10/24mm. From time to time someone will ask me why I shoot with Nikon gear? Maybe more than anything else it was simply the feel of that first DSLR body in my hand. I always felt Nikon made and still makes the very best ergonomically designed cameras in the world.
